Everton cruised to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Manchester City at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Toffees got off to a firing start and had the ball in the back of the net early on, however, Seamus Coleman’s was judged to have been in an offside position in the opening exchanges of the match.

The visiting side came close to breaking the deadlock in the 12 minutes when Raheem Sterling was played through on goal but Everton goalkeeper Joel Robles came to his side’s rescue to deny the English forward.

>However, Everton eventually broke the deadlock in the 34th minute when Tom Davies played in Kevin Mirallas before the Belgium setup Romelu Lukaku, who slotted the ball into the back of the net from 12-yards out to make it 1-0.

In the opening 45 minutes of the match, City enjoyed most of the possession of the ball but Pep Guardiola’s side were unable to break down the Toffees defence.

The home side then doubled their lead shortly after the break when Gareth Barry played Mirallas through on goal before he fired his effort into the far corner to make it 2-0.

Everton grabbed their third goal in the 78th minute when Ross Barkley setup Davies before he lob the ball over City shot-stopper Claudio Bravo from a tight angle.

However, the home side all but sealed their victory in stoppage time when debutant Adam Lookman scored his first Everton goal when he fired his effort through the legs of Bravo as his side claimed a 4-0 victory over City.
