Mamelodi Sundowns have hit back strongly at what they claim are ‘continuous lies and misrepresentation’ by Keagan Dolly’s agent.
Dolly has been at the centre of a contract dispute regarding his release clause with the club now seemingly at war with his agent, Paul Mitchell.
The Brazilians released a sharply-worded statement to the media claiming they do not ‘want to be seen as a Club that can be blackmailed to sell players because of misrepresentations and pressure in the media’.
The African champions once again reiterated their position that they will release Dolly as soon as a buyer matches the buy-out clause which was upheld by the PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber.
That decision, however, is still not set in stone with the player’s agent set to challenge the finding to Safa and Fifa.
Sundowns also revealed that Manchester City have invited the Bafana Bafana international to their football academy with the English club having held an interest in the playmaker for some time.
The Chloorkop side held discussions with City with the idea of the South African joining the club but being loaned out to a partner club in Europe.
