Chippa United COO Lukanyo Mzinzi says the opening of the clubs store at Boardwalk is an important milestone for the club.
The Chilli Boys in partnership with technical sponsor Canterbury, officially opened their store on Friday becoming one of few clubs in the Absa Premiership to open their own store.
Mzinzi says this is a huge achievement for the club and says he is grateful to the club for making their ‘dream a reality’.
‘This is an important milestone for such a humble Club,’ Mzinzi told the Chippa United website.
‘We have gone through up and downs during our short existence, but this ranks up there among our best moments.
‘Thank you to the Marketing Team, Business Development Officer, Nombasa Zini, the staff at the store and all those who worked long hours to make this dream a reality.’
In attendance at the grand opening were the honourable deputy mayor Mongameli Bobani, CEO Peter Koutroulis, Pastor Edward, general manager Wanda Mbenguzana, with head of marketing & communications Luthando Zibeko as program director.
The club’s head coach Dan Malesela and his technical team were also in attendance along with the team led by club captain Thamsanqa Sangweni.
