Manchester United have confirmed that Antonio Valencia has extended his contract by a further year, keeping him at the club until June 2018.
The 31-year-old has scored 21 goals from 271 appearances in all competitions, winning six trophies since joining the Red Devils from Wigan Athletic back in 2009.
The Ecuadorian has also claimed a hat-trick of individual awards during the 2011-12 season when he was voted the Fans’ and Players’ Player of the Year, while also winning the club’s Goal of the Season award.
Valencia is currently in his eighth season with United and his new contract one-year contract runs until the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
