Leicester City captain Wes Morgan says he was left frustrated following his side’s 3-0 defeat against Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday.
The Foxes suffered their 11th defeat of the season against the Saints through goals by James Ward-Prowse, Jay Rodriguez and Dusan Tadic.
Morgan admits that his side worked hard towards getting an away result but he insists that it was difficult for them to get back into the match after going down 2-0 at the half-time interval.
‘It was very difficult,’ Morgan told the Leicester City website.
‘It’s frustrating to not pick up an away win yet. We tried to change that today, but that wasn’t the case.
‘I thought we started not too badly. We were competing and we were in the game. We had a few half-decent chances.’
He added: ‘But it didn’t go for us and it’s always difficult to go in 2-0 down at half-time.’
Leicester City will be hoping to bounce back when they take on Derby County in the FA Cup on Friday.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 21:55.
