Real Madrid defender Pepe has decided to join Hebei China Fortune once his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu expires, according to reports.
The 33-year-old defender will see his deal with the Spanish giants expire at the end of June.
However, Madrid had initially offered the Portuguese international a new one-year contract but the defender was looking for a two-year extension.
Pepe will now move to Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune, who is currently being coached by former Real Madrid and Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, according to Cadena Cope.
The Portuguse defender is set to earn himself €15-million a year in China, which is close to triples his current of €5.5-million salary if he decided to join the Chinese side.
