Bidvest Wits CEO Jose Ferreira has confirmed that English striker James Keene has been registered for the second-half of the Absa Premiership season.
The 31-year-old striker has not featured for the Clever boys this season as he is still on the road to recovery following his long-term knee injury.
However, with the striker back to full fitness and ready to return, Zimbabwean Knox Mutizwa has made way to create a foreign spot.
Ferreira has now confirmed that the striker has been registered with the Premier Soccer League for the second half of the season.
‘That’s correct, James [Keene] has been registered with the league again, in place of Knox Mutizwa,’ Ferreira told KickOff.com.
Before being sidelined for most of last season, Keene managed to score a total of eight goals from 14 appearances in all competitions for the Students.
When the Absa Premiership returns, Bidvest Wits will next face Ajax Cape Town at the Bidvest Stadium on February 7.
Kick-off has been scheduled for 19:30.
