Chelsea cruised to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Brentford while Manchester City claimed a 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
The Blues got off to a bright start and took the lead in the 14th minute when Willian put the ball into the back of the net from a free-kick from outside the box to make it 1-0.
However, seven minutes later Antonio Conte’s side doubled their lead in the 21st minute when Pedro was played through on goal before putting the ball past Bentley.
In the opening 45 minutes of the match, Brentford were trailing Chelsea by two goals as they went into the half-time interval.
In the second half, Chelsea then added a third in the 9th minute when Branislav Ivanovic received a through ball inside the box before slotting home to make it 3-0.
Chelsea all but sealed their victory when they added a fourth goal in the 81st minuted when Mitchy Batshuay converted from the penalty spot as the Blues booked their place in the next round of the FA Cup.
Meanwhile, Manchester City advanced to the next round of the FA Cup following their 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park through goals by Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and Yaya Toure.
While Burnley progressed to the next round following their 2-0 victory over Bristol City, while Middlesbrough clinched a narrow 1-0 victory over Accrington Stanley at the Riverside Stadium.
Tottenham Hotspurs played out to a hard fought 4-3 victory over Wycombe Wanderers in a seven-goal thriller at White Hart Lane, to book their spot in the next round of the competition.
