Baroka CEO Morgan Mammila has confirmed that Uganda duo Khalid Aucho and Geoffrey Massa are still on the books at the club.
However, recent reports have suggested that the duo looks set to part ways with the club after failing to
Mammila has revealed that the Aucho and Massa are still at the club but he insists that it’s up to the coaches to decide whether or not they will stay or depart from the club.
‘Aucho and Massa are both still on our books,’ Mammila said.
‘Aucho is a hard worker, but football is like that, if coaches don’t see them as good players, us as management, there’s nothing we can do.
‘It’s just that sometimes foreign players takes time, at least a year, to adapt to a new environment. Each and every player is like that.
He added: ‘It’s the coaches who decide [whether a player plays] and as a CEO I will support the coach whether they stay or go.’
Baroka will next take on Chippa United in the Absa Premiership when the two side’s meet at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on February 8.
Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
