Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has revealed that he will be without Islam Slimani as the striker continues to recover from a minor groin injury.
The 28-year-old, who will be sidelined for their midweek Premier League clash against Burnley has had a recurrence of the problem while on international duty for Algeria at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Italian manager says he is hopeful that Slimani will be fit for their clash against Manchester United at King Power Stadium on Sunday.
‘Slimani Is not available,’ Ranieri told the Leicester City website.
‘It’s a little problem but it’s also an old problem. It’s not just the Africa Cup problem. He’s always had a little problem.
‘I hope he comes back for the Manchester United match but I’m not sure. It depends on how he progresses. It’s important for him to recover as soon as possible.’
Leicester City against Burnley kicks off at 21:45.
