Ajax Cape Town reserve team coach Vladislav Heric says he is delighted with the recognition the club is receiving after four played were called-up to the Amajita squad.
Goalkeeper Darren Johnson, and defenders Sirgio Kammies, Shane Saralina and Achmat Ceres all form part of the current Amajita squad partake in the second-phase training camp.
The 50-year-old coach says he is delighted that his player’s efforts for the Urban Warriors are being recognised by the South African national U20 side.
‘I am very happy with the recognition from the national team coach, we have a very good relationship with the national team – head coach Stanley Menzo as well,’ Heric told the Ajax Cape Town website.
‘We accommodate national team call-ups as much as possible.
“’Eight players from my squad have [in the past] been called up to the national team – that is credit to all development structures. The club plays a big role, including my assistant coach Robbie Santo, I am very proud of that and very proud of these boys.’
Ajax Cape Town’s MultiChoice Diski Challenge side will next take on Chippa United MDC at Ikamva on Saturday. Kick-off is at 10h00.
Kick-off has been set for 10:00.
