Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri say he was frustrated following his side’s disappointing 3-0 defeat to Manchester United at King Power Stadium on Sunday.
The Foxes fell to a their 13th defeat of the season through goals by Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Juan Mata.
The Italian manager believes his side put in a good performance but scoring chances were hard to come by after going down by two goals in two minutes.
‘We closed the space and it was a good match. But suddenly we conceded two goals in two minutes and it was very, very hard. In the dressing room we spoke about the opportunity to get back [into the game],’ Ranieri told the Leicester City website
‘We wanted to start faster and stronger but they scored a third and from there it’s very difficult to get back.
‘They slowed down the tempo and it was too easy for them. For us it was hard to press because they moved the ball too quickly with one or two touches and it was very difficult.’
Leicester City will be hoping to bounce back when they take on Derby County in their FA Cup replay match on Wednesday.
The match at the King Power Stadium kicks off at 21:45.
