Chippa United striker Rhulani Manzini believes that with God anything is possible after making his return and scoring a stoppage time winner against Baroka on Tuesday.
The Chilli Boys clinched a narrow 2-1 victory over Bakgaga through goals by Menzi Masuku and Manzini as they claimed all three points.
The 28-year-old says he has God to thank for making his return to the squad and scoring the winning goal during injury time.
‘With God anything is possible. All glory to Him,’ Manzini told the Chippa United website.
‘I knew that I have the technique to direct the ball into the net because the power (of God) is already there.
‘I had to relax, take my time and apply the right technique, the rest was up to Him.’
Manzini also reserved special praise for all who supported him after he was sidelined due to his injury.
‘It’s been long five months out without touching the ball, and I am happy to be back and make a contribution to the team,’ he added.
‘I thank the technical team for showing confidence in me, and to my teammates for the support. The medical team was fantastic and so is everyone at the club, including our supporters.
‘I thank my wife and family for being with me through thick and thin. My church also played a huge role. We must continue working hard, we still have a lot of tough games ahead. We must remain humble, and keep the focus.’
Chippa United will next welcome Mamelodi Sundowns to the Sisa Dukashe Stadium on Tuesday.
Kickoff has been set for 19:30.
