Platinum Stars coach Cavin Johnson says his side was unlucky not to go away with all three points following their goalless draw against Orlando Pirates on Wednesday.
Dikwena and the Buccaneers played out to a goalless draw at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace in their first Absa Premiership match for 2017, with club captain Vuyo Mere awarded Man of the Match.
Johnson believes his side was unfortunate not to have walked away with all three points after creating most of the chances during their Absa Premiership clash.
‘My team should have gone home with the three points. It’s unlucky for my players. I thought they really put in a good shift. Of both teams I think we were the unluckier one,’ Johnson told the Platinum Stars website.
Dikwena are currently placed 12th in the Absa Premiership standing with 15 points, having won only three of their 15 matches played so far this season.
Platinum Stars will take on Mozambican side Uniao Do Songo next in the CAF Confederation Cup at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Saturday.
