Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus is surprised by the firing start he has made with life in England after completing his move from Palmeiras during the January transfer window.
The 19-year-old has already scored three goals in four games for City this season, including the match-winner on Sunday, scoring two goals against Swansea City to help his side move to third in the Premier League table.
But it’s not only his goals that have impressed – the Brazilian has also demonstrated an exceptional work rate and desire off the ball, leaving those who have watched him in awe of his ability.
The Brazilian says he has been delighted with his performance so far and he feels he has adapted to the conditions in the Premier League already.
‘I am very happy,’ Jesus told the Manchester City website.
‘Each day I feel that I am adjusting really well, with the support of everyone in the club.
‘The players, they help me every day and that makes me happy, even more, because I am able to make a good start in a City shirt.’
Jesus says he is still surprised by his firing start to his career in the Premier League since moving to the club during the January transfer window.
‘Yes, I am very surprised,’ he added.
‘Although I work a lot every single day, with everyone’s support, in order for that to happen.’
Manchester City will next take on Bournemouth in the Premier League on Monday.
The match at the Vitality Stadium kicks off at 22:00.
