SoccerClub takes a look at the latest Fifa African ranking and looks at the most significant changes in the February edition of the Caf confederation.
Cameroon’s victory at the African Cup of Nations helped them climb 29 places into 33rd position in the World ranking.
Egypt’s silver-medal finish secured them a place in the Top 25, the Pharaohs are now the highest ranked CAF team.
AFCON semi-finalists Burkina Faso and Ghana also enjoyed large gains, while quarter- finalists Congo DR, Morocco and hosts Gabon also have cause to celebrate.
However, South African have dropped to 13th in the African rankings and have moved two places down in the world ranking into 62nd position with 563 points.
