A brace by Alexis Sanchez inspired Arsenal to claim a 2-0 victory over Hull City at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners came close to opening the scoring in the 15 th minute, but both Hector Bellerin and Alexis Sanchez failed to hit the target from close range.
However, Arsenal then took the lead in the 33rd minute when Eldin Jakupovic’s clearance sailed in to the back of the net after coming off the hand of Sanchez.
Meanwhile, the Tigers struggled to carve out any clear-cut opportunities in the final third as the match went into the half time interval 1-0 in favor of Arsenal.
The Gunners again came close to doubling their lead in the 59th minute when Mesut Ozil set up Alex Iwobi, but the Nigerian fired his effort over the crossbar.
Finally, the Gunners were awarded a penalty in stoppage time when Clucas handled in the box. Sanchez stepped up to take the penalty and made no mistake from the spot-kick to make it 2-0.
