Chippa United coach Dan Malesela has urged his side to turn their quality into results ahead of theIR Absa Premiership clash against Mamelodi Sundowns at Sisa Dukashe Stadium on Tuesday.
The Chilli Boys recently claimed a 2-1 victory over Baroka in the Absa Premiership when Rhulani Manzini scored a goal during stoppage time to help his side collect all three points.
The 51-year-old coach believes it will be a tight match but he is well aware of the threat the African champions possesses.
‘It will be a tight game that is for sure. We cannot underestimate the fact that these are African champions. They have quality all round,’ Malesela told the Chippa United website.
‘We pride ourselves in the quality of our play, but we must turn this quality into results.
‘We are all still trying to find our feet following the break. You do not want to meet them when they have played a lot of matches, and are high on confidence. Now is an ideal time.’
Malesela has urged the club’s supporters to come out in numbers to support the Chilli Boys when they face Sundowns at the at Sisa Dukashe Stadium.
‘East London is always good to us, the energy from the stands is always magnetic. It is our home game, and we need to make it difficult for people to come to us and take points,’ He added.
‘I would like to call on all our supporters to come through to the stadium on Tuesday.’
Chippa United will now welcome Mamelodi Sundowns to the Sisa Dukashe Stadium when the two sides clash in the Absa Premiership on Tuesday.
Kick-off has been set for 19:30.
