The 67-year-old manager says the World Cup winning midfielder is ‘highly focused’ on helping his side get a positive result at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday.
‘I have no doubt that we play well in Germany and Ozil is ‘highly focused’ on having a good performance,’ Wenger told the Arsenal website.
The French manager admits that he has been satisfied with both German internationals Ozil and defender Shkodran Mustafi’s recent performances for the club.
‘I’m pleased with both. They have a very good attitude and approach, which German players often have. [I’m satisfied] with their performances too,’ he added.
‘Mustafi has brought us a lot of stability – he’s strong in the challenges and has developed.
‘Ozil has played here for a few years and perfectly knows our team and the way we want to play in every game. I think for both this will be an important game.’
