Chippa United defender Justice Chabalala says he is looking forward to cementing his place in the starting lineup after making his debut against Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday.
The Chilli Boys walked away with four points out of a possible six in their last two Absa Premiership matches against Baroka and Sundowns respectively.
However, the former Orlando Pirates defender had to watch from the sidelines as his side defeat Baroka 2-1 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium last week.
The 25-year-old defender says he was pleased with his debut performance and is looking forward to improving his performances with Chippa currently sitting eighth on the Absa Premiership table with 20 points.
‘It was good to be out there with the team, and I was delighted to play my first game for the Club,’ Chabalala told the Chippa United website.
‘I know that I can play better, and we as a collective must build on Tuesday ‘s performance.’
Chabalala says he is well aware of the threat Celtic possesses but has urged the Chilli Boys to remain focused on collecting all three points away from home.
‘We are going to Bloemfontein without any fear. We are aware of the threat they pose in front of their fans, but the important thing for us is to focus on our game,’ He added.
‘The spirit here is amazing and that is a foundation for success. We work for each other.’
Chippa United will next take on Bloemfontein Celtic when the two side’s meet in the Absa Premiership on Sunday.
The match at Dr Molemela Stadium kicks off at 15:30.
