Stanley Menzo says he’s delighted with his striking options, with Tashreeq Morris, Prince Nxumalo and Paulse all adding something different to their attack.

The Urban Warriors are currently placed 11th in the Absa Premiership standings with 19 points, having won just five out of 18 matches played so far this season.

The signings of Zambian duo Aubrey Funga and Rodrick Kabwe added to the strength of the Urban Warriors attacking options.

The 53-year-old says he is delighted with what Paulse has to offers in attack and is showing now signs of slowing down.

‘With Nathan, you play another kind of football, you can play more direct and compete for the second ball – we have a lot of options,’ Menzo told the Ajax Cape Town website.

‘Where we can play, we have to play football. Our way, though, is not to play the long ball – we don’t have the players for that.

‘But, it is an escape when you are under pressure and when you can’t build up.’

Menzo went on to praise the veteran striker’s quality and insists that he can play a vital role in the Urban Warriors success this season.

‘Nathan is part of a strategy and he can be very important for us, we have to use him well,’ He added.

‘Nathan isn’t the same as Tashreeq nor Prince, but he has his qualities and the moment we use it well we can take advantage of it. For each game, we will use what we need.’

Ajax Cape Town will now welcome Kaizer Chiefs to Athlone Stadium when the two side’s meet in the Absa Premiership on Saturday.

Kick-off has been set for 20:15.
