Leicester City forward Ahmed Musa has underlined the importance of playing in the Champions League this season.

The Foxes will now take on La Liga side Sevilla in the Champions League at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Wednesday.

Claudio Ranieri’s side performed brilliantly in the group stages of the competition after finishing top of Group G when they claimed four out of six wins during their debut season in the European competition.

The Nigeria international believes his side will have to be at their best if they stand any chance of defeating the La Liga side, while also stressing the importance on remaining focused on the task at hand.

‘We are going there to do our best. I think with the confidence we have with the boys at the training ground, we are going to go there and play very well. If we can win there, I think the confidence will be back,’ Musa told the Leicester City website.

‘It is a very good experience. It is one of the tournaments people want to play in. For the group, we are happy to be in next round. We are working very hard to try to go there and win.

‘We have to focus on the Champions League because we know that is very important for the team.’

Leicester City will now travel to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan when they play Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Kick-off has been set for 21:45.
