Bloemfontein Celtic chairman Max Tshabalala has confirmed the implementation of an empowerment programme to help former players through football.
Phunya Sele Sele are currently placed 12th in the Absa Premiership standings with 18 points, having won four out of 17 matches played so far this season.
Siwelele recently claimed their first victory of 2017 when they defeated Chippa United 2-0 at the Seisa Ramabodu Stadium in the Absa Premiership through two second-half goals by Musa Nyatama.
In his attempt to contribute towards former Phunya Sele Sele players, the club’s chairman has cordially convened a follow-up meeting with Celtic legends, according to the Bloemfontein Celtic website.
The meeting between the club and former players will aim to explore measures on how to empower former professionals to benefit through football and subsequently sustain their respective families.
The meeting is scheduled to take place on February 24, 2017, at Siwelele Park, which is set to start at 11:00. However, the initial meeting was held on Wednesday, February 15, which produced positive results.
The club now welcomes any former Siwelele players to have donned the famous green and white colors of Siwelele to attend the meeting.
Bloemfontein Celtic will next take on Platinum Stars when the two side’s meet in the Absa Premiership on Saturday.
The match at the Dr Molemela Stadium kicks off at 15:30.
