Kaizer Chiefs Reserves team coach Arthur Zwane admits that his side have ‘learnt the hard way’ after notching up numerous draws this season.
The Amakhosi reserve side will next take on SuperSport United in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge finale, with the match scheduled to take place at the Sinaba Stadium on Sunday.
Amakhosi narrowly missed out on a chance to clinch the MDC title in their final fixture for this season.
However, pride will be at stake for Amakhosi, who are occupying fourth position on the log with 25 points; six points shy of the title chasers Mamelodi Sundowns. Coach Arthur Zwane will be looking at the weekend with mixed feelings, even though the young Glamour Boys showed much improvement this season.
The MDC coach remains positive that his side have gained a lot of experience playing in the MDC this season, which could help his side improve their performance in the league next season.
‘We have learnt the hard way. But we gained a lot of experience, which will help us to do even better next season,’ Zwane told the Kaizer Chiefs website.
Zwane insists that his side will go all out against United when the two sides face off in their final MDC match of the season.
‘We will bring our A-game against SuperSport United. We are representing the Chiefs badge and every time we walk on the pitch we are mindful of the aspirations of our supporters. Our approach against SuperSport will be as professional as always,’ he added.
Amakhosi head to their final MDC fixture in fourth place with 25 points, while Matsatsantsa occupies 15th spot on the standings with only six points after 14 matches played so far this season.
The match at the Sinaba Stadium kicks off at 12:00.
