Ajax Cape Town defender Mosa Lebusa says his side can expect a ‘tough’ clash against SuperSport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.
The 24-year-old recently took over the captain’s armband from regular skipper Travis Graham, who was suspended during their stalemate with Kaizer Chiefs at Athlone Stadium on Saturday.
Lebusa was awarded the Man of the Match award for his impressive displays throughout the match at left back against Amakhosi.
The former Ajax youth product believes his side stood a chance of winning the match and collect all three points, but he says he’s delighted to have earned a point.
‘I still believe it could be better. It’s always nice to get man of the match awards, but it would have meant a lot more if we had won the game,’ Lebusa told the Ajax Cape Town website.
‘It was a tough game against a very good team. We did well as a team. We would have, obviously, preferred all three points, but we’ll take the point.’
Lebusa admits that the Urban Warriors will face a ‘tough’ Matsatsantsa side, who haven’t suffered a defeat in the Absa Premiership since the opening day of the season.
‘It’s another tough, tough fixture,’ Lebusa added.
‘It’s about the points for us, nothing else. But, I guess, for them, it’s exactly the same. But we have been working hard, we are improving, and we’ll give SuperSport a go on the night.’
Ajax Cape Town will now take on SuperSport United in the Absa Premiership on Saturday.
The match at the Lucas Moripe Stadium kicks off at 20:15.
