A brace by Harry Kane inspired Tottenham Hotspur to a 3-2 victory over Everton at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
The Lillywhites got off to a bright start and took the lead as early as the 20th minute when Kane unleashed a right-footed strike from outside the box into the bottom left corner to make it 1-0.
Two minutes later and the Toffees had a chance of their own when Leighton Baines attempted a shot from outside the area, but his effort went wide of the target.
Ramiro Funes Mori had an opportunity to level matters in the 36th minute when he latched onto a cross from Ross Barkley but his effort was block on the way to goal.
However, Spurs then extended their lead when Harry Winks played Allie through on goal, before finding the back of the net.
Spurs came close to doubling their lead when Dele Alli latched onto a cross from Ben Davies, before his headed effort was saved in the bottom corner.
However, Spurs extended their lead in the 55th minute when Allie played Kane through on goal, before finding the back of the net with his strike at goal to make it 2-0.
Ten minutes from time, Everton pulled a goal back when Romelu Lukaku found the bottom left corner in the back of the net from outside the box, to make it 2-1.
With five minutes left to play, Kane nearly completed his hat-trick when he fired a shot at goal, but his effort went high and wide of the target.
The Toffees then found the back of the net when Enner Valencia unleashed a strike from outside the box to make it 3-2.
Spurs held on to their 3-2 lead until the final whistle as they walked away with all three points.
