Manchester City midfielder David Silva believes his side are hitting top form following their impressive 2-0 victory over Sunderland on Sunday.
The Citizens secured their fourth consecutive Premier League victory after Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane handed the Blues all three points as they now move up to third place in the table.
Pep Guardiola’s side are now unbeaten in nine games in all competitions and with City expecting a busy fixture schedule with following their participation in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League fixtures.
The 31-year-old believes his side have hit their best form so far this season as City enters its business end of the season.
‘We have to believe. ‘We know the last two or three months are the most important part of season,’ Silva told the Manchester City website.
‘We’re in a good moment.’
The Spanish midfielder revealed that the City manager’s aim to motive and improve their performance has played a crucial role in City’s form in recent weeks.
‘We need that. To keep the intensity high. He’s always behind us and pushing us. It’s good for the team and you have to do that,’ He added.
Manchester City will next welcome Stoke City to the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Wednesday.
