Zimbabwean midfielder Willard Katsande says he would like to leave a legacy at the club after renewed his contract with Kaizer Chiefs.

The 31-year-old has recently committed his future to Amakhosi after put pen to paper on a new three-year deal.

Katsande, who enjoy a great career with the Glamour Boys says he is delighted to have pledged his loyalty to the club and will be hoping to leave his own legacy at the club when he decides to hang up his boots.

‘I am happy at finally renewing my contract with the club,’ Katsande told the Kaizer Chiefs website.

‘Since day one I have been happy here, and the club has taken good care of me whether playing or not playing.

‘Deep down I always knew this is what I wanted because even though there were offers elsewhere I knew this is the place for me. I am all about leaving a legacy after my playing career and this massive club offers me that.’

Zimabwean midflieder went to says that he will continue to work hard and put in good performances in the hopes of helping Amkhosi gain success in the future.

‘Obviously my duty is to try and help the team win games and that alone will never change because Chiefs is a big club that is used to winning,’ He added.

‘All this success I have been blessed with over the last couple of years has been made possible by my hard work here and it’s all on me now to repay the confidence the club has shown in me with good performances and all out commitment when given a chance to play.’

Kaizer Chiefs will now turn their attention to the Nedbank Cup when they take on Stellenbosch on Saturday.

The match at Athlone Stadium kicks off at 20:15.
