Everton cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion, while Bournemouth beat West Ham United 3-2 in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Toffees got off to a lively start in the opening exchanges of the match and came close to opening the scoring when Romelu Lukaku saw his low shot guided inches wide of the far post from a tight angle.

The Baggies nearly took the lead in the 38th minute when Chadli cut inside the area before taking a shot at goal, but Everton goalkeeper Joel Robles got down well to make a fine save and deny the forward.

However, Everton took the lead a minute later when Kevin Mirallas latched onto a loose ball in the area before finding the back of the net from close-range to make it 1-0.

The Toffees then doubled their lead right before the half-time break, when Lukaku played Morgan Schneiderlin through on goal before he lofted the ball over the baggies shot-stopper.

After the opening 45 minutes, Everton went into the half-time interval with a 2-0 lead over West Brom.

The Baggies came out with more intent in the second half when Robson-Kanu played Chadli through on goal before he unleashed a strike from 30 yards out, but his effort was comfortably saved by Robles.

Everton nearly extended their lead when Ross Barkley twisted and turned in the box before firing a shot from a very tight angle, but his effort could only find the side netting.

The Toffees had another opportunity at goal when Lukaku was brought down by Yacob just outside the box. The Belgium striker Lukaku stepped up to take the free-kick, but he fired his effort straight into the Baggies wall.

Ronald Koeman’s side then added a third goal in the 83rd minute when Lukaku latched onto a cross from Barkley before heading the ball into the back the net to make it 3-0.

However, Everton held on to their 2-0 lead until the final whistle as they walked away with all three points at Goodson Park.

Meanwhile, Swansea City were beaten by Hull City when they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the Kingston Communications Stadium through a brace by Oumar Niasse, before Alfie Mawson scored a late consolation goal.

Bournemouth beat West Ham United 3-2 at the Goldsands Stadium after Joshua King’s hat-trick was cancelled out goals by Michail Antonio and Andre Ayew in their five-goal thriller.
