TFGSoccerClub selects the Premier League Team of the Week as Josh King scores three and an Oumar Niasse double give Hull survival hope, writes DEAN WORKMAN.

Formation:3-5-2

GK: Darren Randolph (West Ham)

The West Ham goalkeeper put in a quality performance for his team against Bournemouth. Although the stopper conceded 3 goals, he did all he can to keep his team in the game, pulling off several stops throughout the game and saving a penalty.

Right centre back: Alfie Mawson (Swansea City)

The English defender has seen a massive turnaround in form since the arrival of Paul Clement at the club, not only by tightening up the defence, but also by scoring goals from set plays. The big centre back was at it again this weekend, as he managed to get on the score sheet late on against Hull City to give his team some hope of a result, although Swansea ultimately lost the game 2-1.

Centre back: Michael Keane (Burnley)

The young defender has been a revelation for the club since moving there from Manchester United in 2015. The Englishman put in a top drawer performance against Liverpool this weekend as his composure and organisation ensured the Reds could not be at their free-flowing best. Although Keane helped stifle the Liverpool attack, his team came away 2-1 losers on the day.

Left centre back: Ashley Williams (Everton)

The Welshman put in an assured performance to help lead his team to a clean sheet and a comfortable 3-0 victory over West Brom this weekend. The defender presence at the back was important as ever as his team gained a valuable 3 points to close the gap on the top 6.

Right midfield: Josh King (Bournemouth)

The Norwegian international was the standout player in game week 28, as his stunning hat-trick lead his team to a 3-2 victory over West Ham. The Cherries had a golden chance to take the lead, but King missed his penalty and then saw his team go 1-0 down. The former Manchester United man then redeemed himself as he equalised on 31 minutes with a clinical finish. Another penalty was then missed, this time by Benik Afobe, who then provided the assist as King scored his second of the day to put his team ahead. After Andre Ayew equalised with 7 minutes left, it seemed as though the game was destined for a draw, but then in stoppage time King wrapped up his hat-trick, and the game, with a vital goal.

Centre midfield: Morgan Schneiderlin (Everton)

The midfielder, who made the move to Everton from Manchester United in January, repaid his manager’s faith this weekend as he showed why he was brought into the club. A calm and assured performance from the middle of the park helped Everton to dominate the game. The Frenchman then got his name on the scoresheet with a good chip finish from an acute angle to help his team to a 3-0 victory.

Centre midfield: Emre Can (Liverpool)

The German has found it difficult to cement a place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting eleven this season. Can, however, put in a top-class performance this weekend as he was relentless in the midfield, trying to control the game. Can then popped up with what proved to be the winner for Liverpool in a very difficult fixture.

Centre midfield: Ross Barkley (Everton)

The young Englishman was as dynamic as ever this weekend as he helped Everton to a 3-0 victory. Barkley was at the heart of Everton’s attacking threat as he grabbed two assists, the first for Kevin Mirallas’s opener and then for the Romelu Lukaku’s third which wrapped up the game.

Left Midfield: Kevin Mirallas (Everton)

The winger was another of Everton’s top performers this weekend. The Belgian international was an ever-present threat down the wings and managed to open the scoring for his team as he coolly slotted past Ben Foster to put his team in the lead. Mirallas will be hoping to replicate this performance in the weeks to come.

Striker: Romelu Lukaku (Everton)

One of the hottest properties in English football, Lukaku had yet another stellar week as he joined Harry Kane at the top of the scoring charts. Lukaku provided the assist for Schneiderlin’s goal, Everton’s second right before half time. The striker then got his goal as his bullet header left Ben Foster with no chance and capped off yet another star performance for the Belgian international.

Striker: Oumar Niasse (Hull City)

The Striker who made his move from Everton to Hull in January was the star man for his team in a must-win fixture against Swansea City. Niasse, who did not get much game time at Everton, showed his ability by scoring two goals to lead his team to a 2-1 victory. Both his goals came in the second half to give his team a 2-0 lead before Alfie Mawson pulled one back late on. If Hull are going to stay in the league they will need Niasse to continue scoring.
