Roger de Sa has resigned from Maritzburg United after joining the club in January as Fadlu Davids’ replacement.
Speculation has been mounting that De Sa was poised to quit the club, due to ‘family reasons’ and the club have now confirmed the news.
‘De Sa resigns from Maritzburg United. Maritzburg United and Roger De Sa have parted ways,’ read a tweet by Maritzburg.
De Sa won only once in all competitions as Team of Choice head coach, with a draw and five losses completing his CV.
Local media also speculated that De Sa, a former Ajax Cape Town and Orlando Pirates coach, could solve SAFA’s ongoing problems by accepting the head coach role of the national team.
