A goal from Bernard Parker and an own goal through Bangaly Soumahoro handed Kaizer Chiefs a 2-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Zimbabwean forward Khama Billiat opened the scoring for the Brazilians in the 26th minute before Amakhosi equalised in the 34th minute through Bernard Parker.
However, the Glamour Boys all but sealed the victory in the 78th minute when substitute Gustavo Paez put Bangaly Soumahoro under pressure, forcing the defender to turn the ball into his own net after a lack of communication between him and the goalkeeper.
Following Chiefs victory at the FNB Stadium, they now move up to second in the Absa Premiership standings with 39 points from 22 matches, trailing leaders Bidvest Wits by two points.
