Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Lebese says he’s delight with the Nedbank Cup Last 16 draw but has thrown caution against giant-killers Acornbush United.

Amakhosi were drawn against Acornbush in the Nedbank Cup Last 16 following the draw on Thursday and they are now set to lock horns at the Kabokweni Stadium on Sunday.

The ABC Motsepe League side made their way into the round of 16 following their shock 1-0 victory over Cape Town City in the round of 32.

The 28-year-old admits that he is pleased with the outcome of the draw but says he is well aware of the threat Acornbush United possesses.

‘We’re happy with the draw, to be honest,’ Lebese told the Kaizer Chief website.

‘Whether we get a PSL side or a team from the lower divisions doesn’t really matter, because when you play in a cup game anything can happen.

‘From what I know about them is that they’re a good team in the ABC Motsepe League and we should approach the game with caution and give it our all to progress to the next stage.’

Meanwhile, the only other ABC Motsepe League side remaining in the competition is KwaDukuza United, who also have a home draw against Absa Premiership side SuperSport United.

While there are only two National First Division teams still in the tournament, which include Mbombela United and Jomo Cosmos.

Kaizer Chiefs will now turn their attention to the Nedbank Cup round of 16 when they take on giant-killers Acornbush United on Sunday.

The match at the Kabokweni Stadium kicks off at 15:00.
