Amajita team manager Levy Ramajoe expressed his delight at the upcoming training session ahead of their preparations for the 2017 Fifa U20 World Cup.
The South African national U20 team held their first training session on Thursday at Eldorado Park as preparation for their participation in the 2017 Fifa U20 World Cup.
Ramajoe confirmed that he is awaiting the arrival of Zama Rambuwane, Kabelo Seriba, Luther Singh, Liam Jordan, and Thabo Cele, who are currently on domestic duty with their respective overseas-based clubs.
‘We currently have 22 players in camp and are awaiting the overseas-based contingent. Supersport United, Bidvest Wits and Platinum Stars have released the players we requested, and we are happy that training will go ahead as scheduled today,’ Ramajoe told Safa.net.
‘We are travelling to the Netherlands on Tuesday, 25 April 2017, where we will play three practice matches before returning to South Africa on Wednesday 3 May 2017 to continue with our World Cup preparations.’
The Burger King-sponsored side will jet off to Netherlands on Tuesday before they face Feyenoord on 28 April, followed by Ajax Amsterdam on 30 April.
Amajita will then play their last practice match against PEC Zwolle on Tuesday 2 May 2017.
