Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that defender Lorenzo Gordinho will miss their upcoming Absa Premiership clash against Cape Town City through suspension.

With six games remaining until the end of the 2016-17 Absa Premiership season, Amakhosi currently occupies third place with 45 points and have won 12 out of 24 matches played so far this season, trailing league leaders City by a point.
The Glamour Boys will be hoping to extend their 12-match unbeaten run in the Absa Premiership, having lost three matches since the beginning of the season, with the most recent defeat coming against Chippa United on 3 December 2016.
Gordinho will serve a one-match suspension after picking up his fourth yellow card against Supersport United during their Nedbank Cup semi-final defeat at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune picked up a hip injury on Saturday and the Kaizer Chiefs website confirmed that the medical team are working around the clock to get him fit and ready for their upcoming encounter.
