South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen, fresh from a runners-up spot at last week’s Players Championship, tees up alongside world No 1 Dustin Johnson in an appealing first round pairing at the AT&T Byron Nelson Championship.
In the threeball behind them off the first tee are Masters champion Sergio Garcia, former world No 1 Jason Day and American Patrick Reed.
In total there are five South Africans in the field: Charl Schwartzel, Ernie Els, Oosthuizen, Rory Sabbatini and Tyrone van Aswegen.
The defending champion this week is Garcia, who beat Brooks Koepka in a playoff to win last year. Garcia is a two-time champion, having also triumphed in 2004. Sabatini is the last South African to win the event, back in 2009.
