Springbok flank Jaco Kriel has been ruled out of Saturday’s Test match against the All Blacks due to a labrum shoulder tear and will return home for treatment later in the week.
Kriel was injured during South Africa’s 23-23 draw with the Wallabies in Perth last Saturday and when his condition did not improve in the days after the Test, he was sent for a scan in Auckland on Monday afternoon.
The scan revealed Kriel sustained a labrum tear and will take no further part in the Boks’ tour.
The Bok team management confirmed that no replacement will be called as the team has sufficient loose forward cover.
