Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela says their Absa Premiership clash against Mamelodi Sundowns will not be the title deciding match.

The Glamour Boys, who currently occupy third place in the Absa Premiership standings with 29 points, will be hoping to close the gap on log leaders Sundowns.

Komphela has dismissed suggestions that their clash against Pitso Mosimane’s side will be the title deciding game, stating there is 12 matches left to play before the campaign comes to an end.

‘We still have 12 matches to go for. We’ll kill this one over the weekend, and there’s still plenty more to go,’ Komphela told KickOff.com.

‘We’re not going to win the championship on Saturday, they aren’t either. But it’s one match at a time.

‘I hope everyone enjoys the occasion – coaches and players focus on the match and supporters be entertained. We’re looking forward to the match.’

The mouth-watering fixture between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns at the FNB Stadium kicks off at 20:15 on Saturday.
