Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela believes his side are starting to hit top form following their 1-0 victory over Cape Town City on Saturday.
A 47th-minute goal by Ryan Moon made all the difference as Amakhosi claimed all three points at the FNB Stadium to move up to second in the Absa Premiership standings with 34 points.
Komphela says his side will continue to improve their performances after extending their unbeaten run to nine games, having won six games and drawn three.
‘I am happy about hitting this run of form,’ Komphela admitted.
Despite the win, the former Maritzburg United mentor was not entirely satisfied.
‘We went in very well in the first half and we could have been 2-0 up at half-time, but that wasn’t the case.
‘We needed to sort out some things during the half-time break. Looking at the chances we got, we should have won 3-0. But we appreciate the win and will continue to improve,’ he concluded.
Kaizer Chiefs will be hoping to continue their recent form when they welcome Bloemfontein Celtic to the FNB Stadium on Saturday, with kickoff set for 20:15.
