Orlando Pirates new signing Augustine Mulenga is set to miss their Absa Premiership encounter against Chippa United on Sunday.
The 27-year-old recently joined the club after putting pen to paper on a three-year contract, with the reigning Zambian Footballer of the Year expected to get his work permit later this week.
Mulenga sustained a strain to his knee during training and is expected to be out of action for up to two weeks, according to the Buccaneers’ medical staff.
The Zambian international has since seen a specialist, who insists the forward should rest and treat the strain to avoid any extensive damages to his injury.
Meanwhile, Diamond Thopola remains in doubt for their clash against his former side as he continues to nurse his quad strain injury.
The match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium kicks off at 15:30.
