Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane says his main objective is to keep a clean sheet against Kaizer Chiefs in the much-anticipated Soweto Derby on Saturday.
The Buccaneers are currently placed second in the Absa Premiership standings with 36 points, while Amakhosi are one point behind them in third place on the table.
Mabokgwane says his only target is not to concede against Pirates, insisting that the scoreline is irrelevant.
‘Clean sheets are the biggest priority for any keeper. But if we win every game 4-2 then I won’t be too upset. We just want to keep our winning momentum and do well for the fans – and win. The score is irrelevant,’ Mabokgwane told the media.
The last time the Soweto giants met, the match ended in a goalless draw at the FNB Stadium on 21 October 2017.
Orlando Pirates will take on rivals Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium for the second installment of the Soweto Derby in the Absa Premiership on Saturday, with kickoff set for 15:30.
