Despite another victory in the Absa Premiership on Saturday evening, Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic still refuses to be drawn into talks of the title, writes DEAN WORKMAN.
The Buccaneers beat Golden Arrows 2-1 on Saturday evening, closing the gap on Mamelodi Sundowns at the top of the league to just one point. Pitso Mosimane’s men, however, do have a game on their title rivals due to their participation in the Caf Champions League.
Despite their obvious title chances, Sredojevic remained modest about his side’s title aspirations, as he has all season.
‘We shall not think [about the league title] until the last match because it is not in our hands. We have one match more than Mamelodi Sundowns.
‘We shall think of our next game. We shall only think [about the title] once we have five matches left to play. I think that is on the 3rd of April,’ he added.
Pirates’ next game is against Bloemfontein Celtic on 4 April at Orlando Stadium.
