Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela wants his side to remain focused and accumulate as many points as possible until the end of the season.
The Glamour Boys moved up to third in the Absa Premiership standings after claiming a narrow 1-0 victory over Free State Stars at Goble Park, courtesy of a 90th-minute goal from Teenage Hadebe.
Komphela will be hoping his side can collect maximum points in their final league fixtures in the hope of closing the gap on log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
‘The most important thing at this stage of the league is the three points. Three points are all that matters,’ Komphela told his club’s official website.
‘We are happy with this win. It wasn’t easy but we got what we wanted, the three points.
‘We are going back to prepare for Chippa. We want to accumulate as many points as possible.
‘We are still in the chasing pack,’ he concluded. ‘I have said it before – we will remain focused until the final whistle of the season.’
Kaizer Chiefs will be hoping to continue their winning ways when they welcome Chippa United to the FNB Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off set for 3pm.
