While other teams have begun announcing provisional squads, Brazil coach Tite has decided to name his final 23-man squad for the 2018 Fifa World Cup, writes DEAN WORKMAN.

Neymar headlines the squad, having recovered in time from a serious injury sustained while playing for Paris Saint-Germain in February. Dani Alves, however, missed out on what would have been his last World Cup after picking up an injury in Paris Saint-Germain’s Coupe de France final victory.

The five-time World Cup champions will be up against Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia in Group E. As always, the Seleção have high expectations going into the tournament and with a squad filled with talent, they are widely tipped to challenge in Russia.

Tite had previously confirmed 15 names of his squad for the tournament and has now named the rest of the players.

The South American giants will prepare for the tournament with friendlies against Croatia (3 June) and Austria (10 June) before starting their World Cup against Switzerland on 17 June.
