Mamelodi Sundowns striker Jeremy Brockie says he is frustrated by his goal drought but feels honoured by the accolades he received this season.

The 30-year-old striker is yet to find the back of the net since moving to Sundowns from SuperSport United during the January transfer window.

During his stint at Matsatsantsa, Brockie managed to score a total of 41 goals and assisted a further 15 from 104 appearances in all competitions while winning the MTN8 trophy and two Nedbank Cups at the club.

Brockie reflected on his 2017-18 campaign with SuperSport and Sundowns on his Official Twitter, saying:

‘The season comes to an end.. while it’s been VERY frustrating season on the goal tally, to finish the season with an MTN8 and Caf Confed medal, the Caf Confed golden boot, a PSL medal and a nomination for MTN8 last man standing and a move to @Masandawana I’ve enjoyed every moment of it!!

‘I’d like to thank all my supporters who have supported through good and rough times. I look forward to having a break to come back stronger next year. Also thank you to my lovely wife @jessicabrockie and kids who I can always rely on for positive energy. Bring on next season!’

Over the course of his career, Brockie has racked up 275 appearances while scoring 84 goals and assisting a further 32 while playing for clubs in New Zealand, USA and South Africa.

On an international level, he has 52 caps for the New Zealand national team while scoring just one goal and assisting five since making his debut in February 2006 under the guidance of then coach Ricki Herbert.
