Pitso Mosimane’s side claimed their first ever Shell Hilux Cup title after securing a 2-1 victory over the Soweto giants at the FNB Stadium through from Themba Zwane and Jeremy Brockie while Bernard Parker scored a late consolation goal.

Billiat, who recently joined Chiefs from Sundowns, admits that it was ‘tough’ playing against his former team, but the Zimbabwean forward remains confident that his new side will challenge for silverware.

‘I must say it’s always tough, but it makes a player better and better. I know they know me and I know them and you have to come up with something new so your game can improve every time,’ Billiat told SABC TV after the game.

‘So I think my teammates give me courage and support.

‘They knew it was going to be tough, but I’m looking forward to the great family I have and the support here at this team. I’m sure we can achieve something.’
