Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that new signing Andriamirado ‘Dax’ Andrianarimanana has finally joined up with the squad.
The Madagascan attacking midfielder caught the eye of Amakhosi after starring at the Cosafa Cup, walking away with the Player of the Tournament award.

Dax was confirmed as a Chiefs player last month, but he was forced to wait to link up with his new side after his previous club Fosa Juniors insisted he was still contracted to them and that they deserved some compensation for the player.
The Soweto giants, however, believed that they had signed him on a free transfer.
The reason why Chiefs thought Dax was available on a free is because the Malagasy league is an amateur competition and therefore no fee is needed to sign a player from one of their clubs.

Chiefs then threatened to take the matter to Fifa and have the player banned for two years if Fosa Juniors’ claim that he is contracted to them until 2020 were true.
However, after comprehensive negotiations with Fosa as well as the Malagasy football association, Chiefs today confirmed via their Twitter account that Dax will finally join up with the rest of the Chiefs side.

The midfielder has penned a two-year deal with an option for a further year, but will now have to wait for his work permit before being allowed play for Giovanni Solinas’s side.
‘We have been working hard to ensure that the player comes to South Africa,’ Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung said in a club statement.
‘We now have to work on finalising all his paper work and medicals but what’s important for us and the supporters is that he is here.’
The Madagascan will be playing catch up as he looks to adapt to his new surroundings before being able to make an impact at Naturena.
