Everton completed the capture of Barcelona duo Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes, while also signing Brazilian international Bernard on the English transfer deadline day.

Everton started the action when they confirmed the signing of Bernard.

The 25-year-old was lured to Goodison Park on a free transfer after his contract expired at Shakhtar Donetsk and signed a four-year contract with the Premier League club.

Bernard won three league championships and as many domestic cups over the course of five seasons with the Ukrainian giants.

Capped 14 times by Brazil, although not since playing in the 7-1 World Cup semi-final humiliation against Germany in 2014, Bernard cited Everton boss Marco Silva as a key factor in his decision to move to Merseyside.

The Toffees then later confirmed the £28.5m signing of Colombian international Mina from Barcelona, who impressed at the World Cup but endured a torrid six-month spell at the Camp Nou.

Then as the window was closing, it was confirmed that Gomes’ Barcelona nightmare is set to be put on hold for a year after the Catalan club agreed to let him go on loan to Everton for the 2018-19 season.

Gomes joined Barca from Valencia in 2016, costing the club a reported €35million, but he struggled to hold down a first-team place.

Hoping to get back to the level he showed in his first season at Valencia, Gomes will play on loan at Goodison Park with Everton paying Barca €2.25million.
