Oswin Appollis is confident Bafana Bafana are ready for a difficult battle against Lesotho in their FIFA World Cup qualifier on Friday.
South Africa will be in action when they welcome Lesotho to the Peter Mokaba Stadium for the penultimate Group C encounter in Polokwane.
Bafana currently occupies second place in the group standings, level on seven points with Rwanda in first place and Benin in third.
Hugo Broos’ side have played four matches so far and have won two, drawn one and conceded one defeat, with two games remaining.
The Polokwane City winger says his side have put in the hard work to walk away with a positive result against Lesotho.
“It’s a good game, Lesotho is a very hard-running team a lot of fighters,” Appollis said.
“Our preparation went well, so it’s going to be difficult, but as South Africans, we are always ready to put in the work as well, run hard and fight hard for the team.
“The mood in the camp has been amazing, the boys are ready for Friday and you can see the excitement from the guys for Friday. Preparations went well and we excited for Friday.
“As the coach (Hugo Broos) always tells us, everyone wants to be South African, everyone comes guns blazing. It won’t be an easy game, but if we prepared well, as we did prepare well we can get a positive result if we put in the hard work.
“I think everywhere we’ve been the last couple of months, the fans have come to the stadium and I have no doubt that Polokwane will come and support us for Friday’s match.”
