Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has revealed that he will field fresh faces in the final of the Four Nations tournament against Zambia on Saturday.
South Africa advanced to the final of the tournament after seeing off Angola 6-5 on penalties after the scores were deadlocked at 1-1 after regulation time.
Baxter fielded a new-look squad with youngsters Motjeka Madisha, Aubrey Modiba, Phakamani Mahlambi and Lebo Mothiba all being handed starting berths.
When quizzed about his game plan heading into the final on Saturday, Baxter suggested that he would name a new squad, with the likes of Brandon Petersen, Daniel Cardoso, Innocent Maela and Thembinkosi Lorch all likely to make their debuts.
‘The team I’ll be picking in the final will be a completely different team, it will be 11 different players,’ he told the media after the win against Angola.
‘We need this game and we’ll do everything we can to win,’ he concluded.
